Pre-class study ideas for A&P?

Published

Hi! I'm taking A&P one and two this summer (I start June 4). I'm trying to get a jump start on studying since it will be a condensed course. I bought an Anatomy coloring book to start... Any other study ideas to get ahead for this class? I've been out of school for a few years, so I'm trying to get my brain back on track. This is my first prerequisite and I'm really looking forward to getting back into the swing of learning. Thank you ahead of time for any suggestions!

Alternatively, your class may be like mine -- we had a lecture notes booklet and a lab manual we were required to purchase from the bookstore which contained the lists of bones and muscles we were required to know (along with everything else).

I'm so jealous! Our instructor took pride in NOT giving lists and even seem mildly annoyed if you tried to confirm the list that you had generated from his lectures. I was lucky that my lab instructor thought this was a dumb rule and though she did not give us lists (because it had been forbidden), she was willing to confirm the lists for us.

wow. that would make me crazy! i don't expect to be spoonfed the answers, but a point in the general direction is always nice. it makes me appreciate all the more the way our department works. they gave us definite parameters from which to study... "if it's in the lecture notes, it's fair game for the exams!" despite that, a&p i still has a 50% drop rate at my school.
