Published

Anyone else applying to Prairie View for Spring 2014 semester? How far are you in the process? Just wanted to make a thread for us to support each other along the way. Good luck to all the applicants!

Hey precious panda!!! Congrats... So sad that you are not going to be with us.

Thanks Moneca, even thou UTHSC is always my first choice, it takes me a long time to decide thou :drowning: such a hard choice to turn down such great schools as TWU & PVAMU :linkme:

Good luck precious.panda

Good luck yall

Hey! I've been silently watching this site since like May, but just now made an account. I've also been accepted for Spring 2014! Congratulations to everyone else who has also received their acceptance package.

Are any of you guys planning to take pathophysiology before spring semester starts? Is anyone else from Dallas?

Can you take pathophysiology before the semester starts? Are you going to PV too?

Moneca, yes I am!

But I read some other places where people were saying to try to take it before you start nursing school just to ease the work load a little, but I don't know.

You can take it at the community college, but it will not transfer

I don't live in houston so I'm unfamiliar with the area. Does anyone know if all the apartments on the list they gave us easy to get to both the medical center and nursing school without a car?

Hello guys, I just registered for the orientation on Dec 4. I need to wait for a confirmation email.

Can someone tell me what is the THEA Test? I put that I'm exempt from taking it but I'm not sure..

Hello! I've been following this thread from the start and have finally decided to make an account! Congratulations to everyone accepted for Spring 14! I can't wait to meet every one of you.

I am already working on trying to complete everything before the deadline! There is so much to do! I wanted to ask those of you living in Houston where you are getting CPR certified. I'm trying to find the cheapest option and the websites seem to be very vague.

If any of you are interested, I know a woman who is an RN and is certified to teach the BLS for Healthcare Providers course. She goes to people's homes and teaches them there. I am trying to get more information on how much she would charge for a group. For private lessons, she charges $60, but i'm sure she would lower that if the right amount of people gathered in one location. I know this is forward, since we don't know each other, but if the price is right, would any of you be interested in coming to my place to take the course? My friend would be taking it with us as she is also starting the nursing program in the spring. I live about 10 min away from the medical center. Let me know and I will get more information from her! Otherwise, help me find a cheap alternative option? Thanks :)

itzkeemo, here is a link straight from the pvamu website on whether you are THEA test exempt. If you took the TAKS, TASS, ACT or SAT, chances are that you are exempt. I hope this helps!

Are you THEA Exempt?

Thanks!! :)

Acrosstexas CPR is $35
