Prairie View Spring 2014 Applicants

Anyone else applying to Prairie View for Spring 2014 semester? How far are you in the process? Just wanted to make a thread for us to support each other along the way. Good luck to all the applicants!

Hey guys,here's my suggestion. On the email they sent to some of us yesterday, there's a link to the New Student Orientation (NSO) site or u can copy this link Orientation

On the site, click on the register button and it will say

All students must register online to attend a New Student Orientation session. Students should only register online once they have been admitted to the university as you will not receive confirmation until then

Therefore, try to fill out everything to register for a NSO date. If you receive the confirmation (like i do today) the next days, it may (just my guessing) mean that you have been accepted (cuz they stated that "Students should only register online once they have been admitted to the university as you will not receive confirmation until then")

I received the email yesterday too.... but I am a transfer student. I was wondering if that email just meant that we were accepted to Prairie View not the nursing program itself.

Ugh. This wait is killing me!

Precious Panda, I don't think we would have to enroll in that since it states on the website:

[h=2]College of Nursing[/h]Students attending the College of Nursing in downtown Houston will participate in the orientation session held at that location. For details, please dial 713-797-7000.

So we don't need to sign up for the new student orientation since we're waiting on getting accepted into the nursing program right?

I'm going to call tomorrow to verify. For now, I'm not going to because if I don't get accepted into the program, I won't be attending Prairie View.

I called in they told me to way until I get accepted by the nursing program

I called today to check my status and the lady that picked up said that they havent even sent out any letters yet... so more waiting
