Hello!! I passed the HESI:D now its time to start application process! Any one else out there?? time is flying..I'm also applying to UT-Arlington!!
I hope we can all help each other in this thread :).. Good Luck Ya'll!!
dkg005: It is a first come first serve system and thats it. You dont have to have a great GPA, and they pick those that have completed everything over those that still have courses to finish. About 100 students, prob 110 were chosen for my semester. Also my GPA was a 3.81.
lovesunshine: Its going great so far!! Im super excited from everything ive learned! we have been in the hospital 3 weeks now and just this week we had to start doing our careplan its informative but tedious, and it took me about 6.5 hrs to finish, fyi lol Im pulling borderline As in all my classes, which is better than most, but ive heard of some other students doing better, so its not impossible to get As.
smashybird: Congrats!
NavyVet28: First off, the net test is no longer accepted, its the Hesi. Also, the drug test, background check and immunizations must be finished, or in the case of certain shots than at least the first shot in the series must be taken, within usually 2 weeks from when you get your letter. It sucks cause they really give you no time to finish everything, i remember i was rushing to get eveything done. Lastly, psyc statistics is what is needed, but hopefully they will accept that..hopefully.

Thank you I really appreciate it. is the NET the one you take at PVAMU, it still says it on the check list. I just want to make sure that's not different than another test. LOL.
OMG Congrats smashybird! I'm still waiting on my acceptance letter..thanks blackberrie_281 for checking up on us prairie view nursing hopefuls. I'm pretty sure ill have many questions once I know what my status is.
Hey, LOL, sorry to ask but did you take the NET test that the PVAMU wanted for like $25?
NavyVet28: no they switched the test the semster i applied for nursing college ( so fall 2010), so my class was the first to take the Hesi.
jellybean88: of course imma check up on yall, i was in your position not too long ago! lol
Luckily spring break is next week, so I should be more available to answer questions. After that though I cant promise imma be on this site alot, so dont be mad if it takes me a while to respond, cause school is starting to get more intense.
Smashybird CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! when did you get your letter? Ohhh now I'm anxious lol..
Blackberrie281: Aye i'm so excited for you. And I'm glad you are doing good in school, bt remember this is your first semester. by the time you second semester strats you'll be an expert because you'll have the idea of the school.. Any tips like things to read at stuff? thanks :)
I dont know about expert lol i know for patho the best way to study is to know the disorders, and their signs and symptoms. Also your first test in that class will be on fluid and electrolytes. also i had 14 chapters in total to read before school even started, so make sure getting books wont be an issue. um..read your books lol some people dont and they wonder why they fail or dont do as well..especially for patho the teacher provides lecture notes on e courses so use that to guide your reading..thats about it, cant think of anythin else.
