I am applying to PV for spring 2012. I notice that PV changed their deadline from September 1 to October 1. (I wonder why???) I turn in my transcripts last week. After my transcript was reviewed I was given a pre-nursing database with the following information:
-63 hours completed
-University GPA 3.18 (non-science course)
-Support Area GPA 3.53 (science course)
-Cumulative Department GPA 3.35
-HESI scores: Math 84, Reading 89, A&P 92, Grammer 92, and Critical Thinking 830.
Now, I have to wait patiently for a letter. I heard it takes up to 3-4 months.
If anybody else is applying for PV spring 2012 I would be more than glad to hear from you, and if you want, share your info with us.
(I am also applying at UT-Houston but I feel that my GPA is not high enough for their program.)
Let me know what you think!
Some shots are series, they will tell u when to come back. Ex, mmr is two series. I got my mmr 24 oct and hey told me to return 24 Nov. I went to this flinic called riverside clinic on .. Shots are $14 each. Confirmation card is a small cut out card that says check yes or no if you accept. If its not in your packet, email the school. Yes, you need physical exam. Its required in any nursing school and is stated on the acceptance letter and also on the check list to complete for the packet thats due 14 nov. I got my physical exam done at walgreens. Take your sheet for physicalexam and medical history (one page) and the physician will complete and fill it for you. My exam was $60...Now i have a question. Did the packet come with any information about the health insurance? Which insurance should i look into? My parents doesnt have insurance and i need to get my own. Anyone here getting the insurance from school? If so, which one?
thanks maxpuppy, but sorry I just know website for F1 student , I dont know for people here:(.
However, Nov 24 pass the deadline which is nov 14, so is it ok for you to take second doses on Nov 24? cause it passed
For all those who are still waiting to get shots..try out Urgent care centers...there is one called Southwest Urgent care..they give their shots for $20. For all those who took their shots..just to be sure you all took the H1N1 and the regular Flu shot right? Congrats to all who got in!! So excited to meet all of you and start classes together
For those who are still waiting for responses..Hang in there!! We have all been through it..it is very stressful! Let's pray and hope everyone gets a good response and the stress will be off your heads!
you meant $20 each or ALL? hey maxpuppy, I went to Walgreen this morning , but the clinic said he doesnt do physical exam for above 18 years old...What was that huhu. I will start my shot on Tue in Southwest community clinic . Does it the same place as you re talking about ?Southwest urgent care?
i wishhh it was $20 for all of them..its 20 for each...the flu shot u can get free at walgreens if u have health insurance..other wise i believe that is also around 20...@ ruby I dont think they are the same place...but maybe at the clinic u will get them for free?? try it out..and also call ahead of time because some places do not carry the H1N1 or the meningitis shots. And maxpuppy im sorry I am covered under my parents so I have no clue about the world of insurance sorry!
riverside health center- $14.99 per shot

You need to go get the titer and it will tell you if you're still okay or not
