Thanks in advance to anyone who might have info on this. I am halfway through my contract in WA state. Two DUI charges from 2016, and a positive opiate test at the beginning of 2017, well documented sobriety since. After this is all done, are some states better than others for granting practice privileges? I got to thinking that once I'm able to practice without restrictions here in my home state, that's all well and good, but if we ever decided to move it would be a total crapshoot as to whether or not I could work in another state. Any guidance on the subject is much appreciated. Straight to the boards of nursing to ask? Not sure if they would be forthcoming with the truth. Thanks.

What state are you trying to work in?
I had a friend half through her contract move from Arizona to Maryland. Maryland decided that her monitoring would just continue via Arizona BON and they wouldn’t interfere. She had a good contract. It’s possible if you go to another state you might have to keep your old contract. Just something to consider.
Honestly I’d ask your home state BON and WA BON. Just to see what they say. Good luck! We are here for you!

Maybe after you complete the program in WA... and decided to move, just apply to another state and see if you get that license? They might never know if you are free and clear in WA?♀️
nevermind.. lol. I realized you said when restrictions lifted, not program completed.
