When applying for a license endorsement, it's crucial to be transparent and accurate in your application. Here's how you can explain the situation to the board:
I apologize for any inconvenience. Offer a sincere apology for any oversight or confusion arising from this situation.
Here's a sample statement you could use:
"Dear [State] Board of Nursing,
I am writing to clarify my recent endorsement application, in which I listed [Rehab Facility Name] as my place of employment. At the time of listing this facility, I had been hired and was in the process of obtaining a temporary license to work in [State]. Based on the guidance I received, I believed that beginning orientation and training while my license was being processed was acceptable.
I understand the importance of adhering to licensing regulations and want to assure the board that I was actively working to secure the temporary license. The delay in receiving it was unforeseen, and once I became aware of the issue, I took immediate steps to address the situation.
I apologize for any confusion this may have caused and am committed to ensuring full compliance with all licensing requirements moving forward. I appreciate your understanding and consideration of my explanation.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
[Your Full Name]"
Best wishes,
Nurse Beth
