hit the jackpot yesterday at work!!! pharmacist gave me a couple of empty insulin vials to practice with at home...now i need some ideas of what to use for "insulin". i have only mixed insulin once or twice...i draw regular nph up almost every day. so, what solutions might i use to practice mixing with? anybody have any good ideas? or helpful hints? i'll take whatever ya got!!:uhoh3:

I would take some gray colored construction paper and put it around one of the bottles or put some food coloring in some water to distinguish it from your clear insulin.

Some people put a little Maalox in one vial to make it cloudy. :)
