Hey guys! I am not gonna lie I found the HOAE test a bit challenging. But then again I am a mature student so it's been a while since I did any kind of test. I found all the other sections quite easy but struggled with math questions (they weren't hard I just didnt have the time to finish them all) and bio/chem stuff. If I had done this exam right after my high school I would have found this test quite easy but since it's been a while I was quite rusty on some of the concepts. I purchased a couple books and studied them and they were quite helpful. Would definitely encourage doing some practice questions to help you gain speed and confidence. Other than that I'm sure u guys will do great! Best wishes!!!
hey guys, I just took the HOAE exam two weeks ago. I didn't find the test to be to challenging.
For biology there were questions like what is the power plant called, etc
and Chemistry there were questions like what is a better insulator copper or brass and what's a better conductor.
it is all multiple choice. I have the HOAE testing pdf file here which you can use to study. I feel like it helped me a lot. there are questions in the book that are very useful.
I teach Chemistry and I have never asked a student whether copper or brass is a better conductor or insulator. That type of question seems a bit out of place to me.
It would not be a fair question for a closed book exam. However, it would be a fair question to ask if students they had an open-book, open internet exam like the ones I give in my courses.

I just applied, as I saw that they have waived the HOAE exam. Not sure why it was waived as other colleges are having applicants complete it online. Now Sheridan is basing admissions off of, your top six marks, including the required prerequisites. Did you apply?

Hey guys,
I just got my offer from sheridan for practical nursing program starting may 2020.
Anyone starting at that time?
Any present students that can shed some light on what the schedule looks like in sheridan?
Also how was your experience with the placement.
Super excited to connect with fellow rpn aspirants!
