Practical Nursing Program (FLEX) @ Centennial College - fall 2014

Published

Hello all,

I am a Student registered for Centennial College's, Practical Nursing flex program.. I start in the fall (September 2014) and I am so nervous.. I've read on-line and have seen many comments about how hard anatomy and physiology is along with all the memorizing.. do you have any tips or tricks? also if you have taken this course at Centennial, how was it?

Hey!! I got an offer from centennial for rpn flex. I am not too sure if i want to accept it because i heard the program is from sept to august. So no summer break. Its also 6 semester which means it costs way more than just rpn. but there are less courses in each semester. This is good because its less stressful. Can you guys please tell more about this program? I don't know a lot about it.

I am very confused of what to do. Thank you

I have been told that the full time program can get overwhelming. If you've been out of school for years like I was, you're better off taking it slowly. The teacher at the open house mentioned that there could be classes 3-4 days a week, so you'd still be able to work. Yes, its much more expensive than the full-time but I would rather pay more with extended days to study than overwhelm myself and risk of failing a course. But hey everyone has a different pace, if you like a challenge go for the full-time. I'm just going this fall btw :)

Thank you gemz.mejia for your opinion! :) I think I am going to choose the flex one because I don't want to overwhelm myself and end up failing any courses. The only thing I'm not going to be happy about is not have summer break. And the fact that its going to cost more. I'm in high school right now so its going to be kind of hard to get used to not having summer break. But its life, not everything happens the way we want it to be.

Hey, I plan to apply to the same program this year. How is the program so far? Did you make the right choice?

I applied and accepted my offer for this year as well! Jan 2017. :) But I still have time to choose between some of the other schools I have applied for, such most of them are for Jan 2017 as well.

Hey bnursing3! I will be attending Centennial Jan 2017 (flex) I am nervous about starting but I am also very excited :) let me know if you end up choosing centennial.

Hey Bmanu, I chose Centennial a couple of weeks ago!

Hey everyone! I'll be attending centennial college for practical nursing flex program this Jan 2017. Any helpful points will be very appreciated. Are there any particular teachers that You don't recommend? And anyone else starting the Flex program this Jan? I'm kind of nervous about starting at a new school.
