PPD Policy on Re-Admissions

What's your facility's PPD requirement for patients who are returning to the rehab after being sent to the hospital? Let's say they've been out of the facility for more than a day.

If it's been more than a day but less than two-three weeks, we just do a one-step PPD test. If it's been more than just a few weeks then we do the two-step test again. Just in case, you know? Luckily, I haven't ever seen anyone test positive for TB.

We don't do another PPD. We don't do them on short term residents either. If they are in the building for less than 90 days we don't do a PPD.
