Hi there. You should look in your classroom notes, your textbook, and perhaps a care plan book for ideas. A care plan needs to be tailored to a specific patient and not just their medical diagnosis.

Also, there is a reason why they make you do these endless careplans. When you are out of school, it will help you organize your priorities with regards to patient care. Think about it: "Impaired gas exchange r/t lower respiratory infection AEB increased effort of breathing and decreased pulse ox" Now, when someone comes into the ER with pneumonia and they can't breathe, I know what I need to do for them because I wrote out endless care plans in nursing school and then applied my knowledge in the clinical area.

There is my rationale about why you should do your own homework. I'd rather have a new grad orientee with a strong knowledge base and help him or her make the connections between actual practice and all that stuff that they learned in school rather than having to start from scratch because they took shortcuts in school.

Good luck with your research.

No stupid questions. I'm guessing NCP= Nursing Care Plan.
