Hello, I had an interview about two weeks ago for a position. The interview went very well, the interviewers seem to liked me and I was able to talk to one the the human resources administrator where we started to discuss about salary, she asked for my references, and went over more my resume. She said I will hear back within a week. That week went by and now it will be almost two weeks since my interview. I sent her an email at the end of last week and have not heard back at all. All of them made it sound I was going to get the job, but know l am not sure anymore. Should I guess forget about it and just move on the the next one? I have other two interviews coming up at least. I am still looking for my first nursing position and have been looking since May, which has been discouraging because I am really ready to begin my nursing career. Any advice on what to do will be helpful!!!

Who did you follow up with? HR or the people that interviewed you. If you haven't, I would email/call the people that directly interviewed you. If they fail to respond, I wouldn't pursue it any further at the risk of you looking very desperate (even though we all are when we want to get hired). Hopefully your next few interviews go well and then you don't have to worry about this at all. In each interview that I got a job offer, I knew by the way they were talking with me and showing me around the unit that I essentially got the job barring anything totally unforeseen. Each time they told me they would contact me within a week and each got back to me well before then. I think if they were going to hire you, they would have snatched you up already. However having said that, I turned in all of my references, transcripts, Certs BEFORE I even was called for an interview. Those things take time to process so it wouldn't be totally weird that HR is taking a while to process those documents as you know HR is incredibly slow to do anything simply due to their sheer work volume load. Best of luck! Let us know at it goes!!!
Forgot to add I emailed both the interviewers and HR person about what the status was.

Forget it, move on. If they are interested in you they know how to find you. I'm going through this myself searching for my first NP job and sometimes even though the interview seemed to go well, they don't call. Good luck!
Got an email finally from the HR person. She said they are still undecided and still interviewing. Mentioned I would be a excellent fit but then they are leaning towards someone with experience and to allow them to have their options open at this time. So, I am guessing I might not get it since they are still interviewing and want someone with experience. Oh well, I kinda of knew that since I have not heard back from them last week.
