So where are the potential 2008 Columbia ETPers at? I think a handful of regulars around here have Columbia on their list of apps, so heres a thread to get us through until notifications in Spring 2008. If you'd like, reply here and let us know which specialty you are trying for! I just submitted my app online for Acute Care...Good luck everyone! ;)

I called the school earlier today and asked if the admission letters were sent and the guy said that they went out today. It would be nice to get the denial/acceptance already! I have 2 other schools that I got accepted to that are filling up and I don't want to send in 500 bucks in NON-Refundable deposits! I am hoping to get mine by Thursday. Good luck to everyone....

Hello, I'm also anxiously awaiting my letter!

FNP4me, you got an email saying the letters weren't sent out on Friday!? I didn't get this email. Did anyone else? I've gotten all of the other emails they've sent out, like the FAFSA ones, so I know they have my email. Is this a bad sign for me? :(

They won't give admission decisions by phone or email...I was really counting on it being here sometime before Thursday. I like how we received an email saying they weren't sent out on Feb. 1 like the previous email said...

Or are you being sarcastic? If so, I feel ya.

Sorry, I am going a little nutty waiting for this letter!

I got an email, but I didn't receive it until 4:45. All the waiting is definitely playing games with me. It's hard to sit through class and not pay attention because all I can think about is going home to check my mail. Then, I get home and all I have are junk mail and bills! AHHHHHH

I did not get an email that stated the letters weren't sent out on Friday either?? Hmmm...

I received the email around 5 tonight. If they really did send the letters out today, I should get it by tomorrow. Will post. Good luck everybody!

I was referring to the email that said they would be sent out on February 1 (with a bit of sarcasm) - The wait is killing me!! Also, I had no idea they'd be mailing the letters to our permanent address...mine is about 300 miles away, so not sure what I'm going to do.

FNP...no one available to check the mail for you? Yikes. If not, maybe they can cave and tell you on the phone if you plead a good case?

I am experiencing the same thing. My permanent (parent's) address is 1200 miles away. I suppose I'll just have them open it? That kind of sucks though... I guess you could try and explain the situation to Columbia, or you could call the post office to see if the letter could be re-routed to your mailing address? Good luck!

Yeah, I can have someone open it - that puts my parents in a bad situation if they have to read that I'm rejected over the phone though. Oh well.

I've decided (since i've been driving myself and everyone I know crazy) that I will believe that I have gotten in to Columbia, rather than worrying that I didn't. Since we haven't gotten the letters, technically, we may have all gotten in, we just don't know it yet.

So congratulations FNP4Me end to everyone else on this thread!! I think we all got in, and I can't wait for us all to meet and start this crazy adventure together!!

(ps. . . i know this makes me sound like a crazy person, but thinking I haven't gotten in and/or checking the mail morning/noon/night makes me just as much of a crazy person)

At least you will probably know today if you are in - good luck and keep us posted!
