Thinking of applying to Columbia's AG-PCNP for Summer 2018. Anyone else applying or currently in the program? Any tips for the application or getting letters of recommendations?

Hey I really think it depends on the specific program you're applying to. I think it's about 88 to 90 credits total. The tuition is somewhere btw $1,450 to about $1,800 per credit ... I think.
Yes on one hand it feels like time if flying by and in regards to the app the decision can't come quick enough. Good luck to you!

Hello! I also applied for the FNP specialty. Already anxiously awaiting to hear! Does anyone know generally how competitive it is to get into the program? I wasn't able to find any info online about acceptance rates etc.

Hi MS1983,
I believe it is fairly competitive as it is a top ranked nursing school. However, they do stress that they take a holistic approach to applicants so it's not necessarily all about GPA and academics. Also, I think different specialty tracks differ in how big the cohort size is and how many applicants they get.

I work in the city but live in NJ actually. what about you?
I live and work in the city. Did you apply/do you plan to apply anywhere else? I'm thinking of applying to NYU for Fall if CU doesn't work out.
I applied and was accepted into JHU's DNP program. Waiting on Columbia before I make my final decision.

I believe their doctorate program is very well rated nationally so probably a bit more competitive than other programs in the area? I'm applying to NYU also. I work at NYU so the tuition remission is appealing but Columbia is a better rated program..did anyone go to the open house for the DNP program?
Hi se56,
I went to their open house for the AG primary care DNP. It was mostly information on how to apply, the structure of the program, and addressing any specific questions people had. They did mention it was a very expensive program...
