I would agree with jeckrn. Talk to a healthcare recruiter. You mentioned "enlisting". If you enlist i would certainly expect you to be within ht/wt standards, go to bootcamp, and yes abide by all the rules other military personnel follow. As for tattoos on the face???? does that apply to you? i know you have to have a waiver for tats so that'd be a good question for the recruiter as would the dance team question.
Tats on the face, I do not know of any service that allows them. I know some soldiers have them on their neck, but never have I seen one on a face in 23+ years in the military. It is getting to be that all tats have to be covered when in dress uniform. From what I understand the Marines have a rule that in order to be a Drill Instructor you can not have any visible tattos at all when wearing a short shelve shirt.

Okay, so. I am entering as a senior in high school, and I decided I want to be a nurse in the navy, just like my grandmother did. I turn 18 in October, I am in the top 15 percent of my class, I am very involved in school, and I want to know a little more about the process.
My dad said that its possible to enlist before starting school, then go to school, and go into the navy after finishing as an Officer. Is this true? Also, would the navy be paying for my schooling? If so, would my scholarships still apply?
I have no idea how this would work, and I'm looking for some professionals that know a lot more about this than I do! Are there physical requirements for this? Will I have to go to basic? Do I have to oblige by all of the same rules - no tattoos on face/neck etc? What is my best option/plan to become a navy nurse? Any suggestions/help for a clueless girl?
Also, I was wondering, I heard the Navy has a dance team.. Is this true? If so, does anybody know much about it?
Thanks guys, in advance!
