is it possible for me?

Hello everyone,

Till now I was "pre-nursing student". I got accepted to a nursing school...starts this september.

I have to maintain an 80 otherwise i will be kicked out from there...they are very strict when it comes to grading policies. I'm just so worried about nursing school.

How is nursing 1? is it possible to get above 80. i'm a B student...only i know how hard i manage to get that much. please give me some advices.

It's definately possible, but it will take hard work and plenty of studying. Make sure you understand how to apply the things you learn, as most exam questions tend to be a scenario followed by choices where you choose the best way to respond to that scenario. I managed a B, but it took a lot of studying and tons of practice questions to accomplish.

first let me say congratulations on your acceptance, that is the hard part...:balloons:

as far as maintaing a b...you can do it; if you really want it!

it will be hard, your going to have to study and work for it, but it is possible.

just make sure you get everything in order for september, ex.

  • if you have children who will watch them etc. for clinicals.
  • if you have a family, make sure they know home cooked meals everynight might be out of the question.
  • if you work....well that is a tough one...i found that i could not work more than 8 hours a week, plus family and school. if you can't work, how will you manage or will there be support
  • know your study habits and learning styles now...ex., if you need to read and re-write things plan on that. if you like to tape lectures plan on that etc.
  • whatever you do...keep organized...there is nothing worse than spending 2 hours just finding your stuff even before you get ready to study...lol.

good luck, you can do it!
