Possible reasons nursing organizations seem to back Dems; re: APRN prescribing

Well Georgia nurses lose again. Once again with the help of the Medical Association of Georgia and one of their own on the inside, the Georgia Senate killed a measure giving GA APRNs the right to prescribe, making us the only state in the entire nation which does not afford APRNs that power. And guess who voted against the measure? With the exception of one Democrat from conservative South Georgia, all voting against were Republican including one who was a registered nurse herself? Is that not incredibly disgusting? I don't know how it is in the rest of the country but if Republicans vote against nurses like they do in GA, then why should we support them?
