Possible Nursing Student

Published

Hello!

I have really considered becoming an RN, I've been researching for weeks now. I am currently a general options major and I go to Rose State College (a community college). I am a good student, A's and B's, I love science and learning. There is a nursing program at my school that I can apply for.

I am extremely passionate about women's health and abortion. It is my dream job to work at a clinic and help women with their abortions. However, I have no idea where to start to get into that specialty. Do I have to start working at a hospital?

If there are any nurses out there who already work at an abortion clinic, could you please give me some advice and tell me how you started out?

P.S. I am not looking to start a debate on whether abortion is right or wrong. There are plenty of other places on the internet for that kind of thing, so please go there instead.

Thank you!

Unless you plan on working in Cali, NY, or Fla., you will have a hard time finding a job. We are down to one abortion clinic in my state and the state is attempting get it closed.

You can at least try to start in women's health. You'd have to get a regular nursing degree but you could try to take extra classes in women's health and maybe start in that specialty
