Hello :wink2:
I'm seeking opinions, should a new RN grad apply for home health nursing jobs (and accept if offered) if they are unable to obtain a job in a healthcare facility?
What are the risks involved in home health? I graduated May/09 and it's very difficult to find employment. One medical facility in Joplin MO seems to be hiring many new grads, but Joplin is 4-5 hours away, too long of drive for me.
I'm patient and continues to pray, hoping that my prayer will be answered, but its hard, I'm in shock that there are no new RN grad jobs.
Thanks to all that apply to this message.

Ummm... I know in my area most home health agencies want you to have some ltc or acute care experience usually about a year, but I would definitely check it out because that is really just a guideline I worked homehealth with no experience at all, b/c I stayed with the same company that I had worked for as a CNA for a couple years, so they knew me.
Thank you for your reply heathert......
May the windows of heaven open and blessings are poured upon you!!!!
