I had a urine drug screen 37 days ago. The result on the recoverytrek site says positive. I haven’t heard anything from my case manager or recoverytrek about this. I haven’t used any drugs or been drinking. The test was $95 which is way more than I usually pay. I have a prescription for Wellbutrin which I know can cause a false positive for amphetamines. Or maybe they were testing that I actually had Wellbutrin in my system? Or it was a clerical error? Has anyone experienced something similar? I know I haven’t done anything wrong but being in this program has made me so nervous about false positives and false accusations.

My urine often tests positive for fluoxetine and it is considered a "positive drug screen" and I must submit verification from physician every 3 months. It may be a certain test contains wellbutrin.
Thank you for your response. That makes me feel better. In over four years of testing I had never seen a positive result so I was feeling a little shaken even though I knew I had nothing to hide. I’ll just keep doing the next right thing.

Mine usually say "prescription positive" if its something that should be there, I think it automatically gets updated as "positive" and then my case manager changes it to "prescription positive". I'd think it was positive for the Wellbutrin and no news is good news.

yes, you were tested for the wellbutrin. If you provided a prescription for this medication to your case manager you will be fine. You are allowed to take medications as long as you have provided the prescription to them. In my case in NJ RAMP we must disclose all of our medications monthly and scan in a copy of the RX. All medications must be approved by RAMP, including blood pressure meds, diabetes meds, cholesterol meds. They need to know what you are taking.
The $95 charge is how they make money off of us. You will be paying this twice a month, plus a separate blood test at least once a quarter. Add in the monthly "counseling" at $110 per month and you are looking at average $300-$400 per month for 5 years.
Also, Hester --my advice is to not use your real name on here, if that is your real name. Google searches will come up forever and when you get out of RAMP, you'll want to put it behind you.
jancon201, Hester Prynne is the woman in The Scarlet Letter, which I thought was appropriate for being in this program. Thanks for your response. I’m not in RAMP. I’m in another state. I’m very aware of how the testing goes as my five years is almost complete. I had just never received a positive result in all these years so was trying to work through what the reason could be. Turns out it was a typo.

Does anyone know what Option 5 is for? I'm told it tests for opioids and all its relatives including heroin, amphets of all kinds, alcohol, kratom, spice, ? Recovery Trek is what I go through. I want to know because my test results are coming back later than usual and they've lost my urine beore but it's also expensive and I want to know. I have been sober for 3 year and I'm almost done and I don't plan on screwing that up.
Please let me know, thank you!

Yes, I would definitely wager you were tested for Wellbutrin. I have been tested for it before and that is about what the test cost for me as well. For my test, the code was actually listed on the lab's testing site, since it was not a regular test option, so I was able to confirm that is what was being tested for.
