Portland RN Residencies, Summer 2015

U.S.A. Oregon

Seems like it'd be nice to have a thread up for anybody applying for the Legacy or the Adventist Versant programs, there's got to be a few people going for one or both! Word has it that Kaiser is also starting a new grad program but I don't have any details about it.

I'm interviewing for both programs, hoping for something in the critical care/cardiac stepdown/ED universe. Anybody else?

I have a friend who got a call from Randall infant to 8 yo acute unit, and no on Adventist

Supposedly sometime this week, for Adventist.

Specializes in Pediatrics, Women's Health, Primary Care.

Do you know when Randalls called her? That was my second choice unit that I sat for....... dangit!

No sorry, I just asked a friend a few days ago and they said they had gotten a call.

yeah i sat for all 3 randall units... no call yet :nailbiting:

I sat for the different floors for Peds and then for PICU :) Hopefully we hear something soon! I had another interview today with Clackamas county and likely will interview next week with Doernbechers (fingers crossed!)

Emails from Adventist are out, got a call for ICU!

was the ICU call from adventist or legacy?

They did not specify which unit it was for but I put ICU as my first choice, so I made an assumption. My Legacy interview is for ICU.

do you know what they (adventist) want in regards to the letters of recommendation?

Anyone else been called back for a second interview with Legacy? I have a feeling I will get a job offer next week, but would prefer to do the residency program-- however, I would also prefer to not turn down a job offer if I am not going to be offered a position

Are all of you who got calls from Oregon? I have heard that Legacy very strongly favors those that attended nursing school in Oregon.
