Portland-ITT Tech Nursing Program

U.S.A. Oregon

Published

I have read a previous most about this program. However it's from when the program was new. I figured by now there would be graduates from this program that might be able to give me an insight on this program or even current students. I am curious to know more info, any info would be helpful.

I know cost of tuition is a number one concern of potential students, but cost aside info on courses, teacher's, schedule, clinicals, etc.

I am researching my options.

Thanks in advance.

I've also heard that credits from ITT Tech don't transfer. Please double-check if you would ever want to go on for your BSN.

I too have been unable to find out information from current grads. I do know that a few colleges I have contacted have said they will take the core classes but not the basics such as A&P, math, writing, etc. I see many of the reviews listed for the school are from people who have not attended. At the end of the day it's all about sitting for the NCLEX.

I'm currently looking into start Dec. 9th.

At the end of the day it's all about sitting for the NCLEX.

This is not necessarily true. There are other considerations if/when someone wants to further her/his education. Also, a growing number of employers, including some of the most desirable healthcare employers in the US, will only hire graduates of ACEN or CCNE accredited programs. Where you go to school, and the accreditations the school holds, can affect your entire career. (I don't mean to say people shouldn't go to ITT Tech, just that it's not accurate to say that eligibility for licensure is all that matters.)
