Congrats on getting in! So you don't have to complete Intro to Nursing BEFORE applying? It's listed as a requirement for the program so I thought we couldn't apply until after we took Intro to Nursing?
If not, that means I can apply to the earlier session and then take Intro to Nursing while waiting to start which would make me so
Good luck to you all!
I applied last year after getting my AA, but not taking Intro and I wasn't accepted. When I decided to withdrawal from nursing at Nova, I took Intro then and there were others in my class who got accepted while taking it. I've heard of others taking it during the summer in between and they were accepted contingently.
I am considering applying to the PSC program, however, I am not a resident of PC anymore and would be a transfer student. My overall GPA is 3.25 and my composite score on the TEAS V was a 73.3%. I've already applied to SSC, although I know my chances of getting in are very low considering their applicant pool. Also, the majority of the seats are reserved for students applying to the concurrent program.
It would be helpful to hear any stats on accepted applicants at PSC, or if my stats are up to par with the applicants at Polk.
All my prereqs are completed, including Microbiology, Developmental Psychology, and humanities. I also have an AA degree, but I haven't taken the 1010C Intro to Nursing requirement.
Any comments would be appreciated...
Thank you! :)

I also got a letter saying I was not accepted for not turning in my TEAS scores, but I had email proof and an advisor on my side and I fought it because I turned my TEAS scores in with my application back in March. Dr. Hutcherson looked right into it and let me know immediately once she found the scores that I was accepted. She has been nothing but helpful to me throughout this whole ordeal. I haven't (other than the misplacement of my TEAS scores) had the first problem with Polk or anyone involved in the nursing program. I am so happy I decided to go to Polk instead of continuing to apply and be rejected at HCC!
