What are the rules regarding political activity while a member of the armed services? If I am a politically active individual who volunteers for the oposition to the current administration, how is this viewed? I know we follow the commander and chief as part of our sworn duty, but if we are actively engaged in electing a more qualified candidate - is this allowed? Just curious if anyone knows how this is viewed.

As a member of the military volunteering is not a issue. You are not to use your military title or wear your uniform at any political event thou.
thanks for the info!
