OK, so I just got home from taking the NCLEX PN exam. The test cut off at 85 questions. I didn't feel like I knew too many of the correct answers, so why did it cut off so early? I thought if you weren't doing well, it would give you more questions to give you a chance to pass. Then again, maybe I did better than I thought. Has this happened to anyone else? And if so, what was the outcome? Thanks. Scared and waiting on results.
Well, I just posted a thread a minute ago, but I am very disappointed with the questions I received on the test. The majority of my questions were teaching, select all that apply, and side effects of meds. I don't feel like I did well at all, so why did it cut off so early? (85 questions) I still had 120 questions to redeem myself. I will get my results on Friday, but I'm not very optimistic about the outcome. Has anybody been in this situation, and still passed? I'm just looking for a little bit of assurance from someone so I can function for the next couple of days. Thanks

It may have cut off because you answered enough questions. We see a few post that feel they should have had more questions and passed. Best to do is hang in there. The test is very hard to predict. Good luck

i just tooked the nclex-pn the other day and it also stopped at 85. i'm sooo anxious. there are some questions i keep on going over my head which i feel i should have changed the answer! i guessed on a lot of my answers.. i had a about 4 SATA and mostly patient teachings on meds and prioritization. no drug calculations or labs or questions on peds or maternity. i hate that i have to wait for 3 weeks for the results in the mail. is it possible they can post your name on the website if u passed even if i didn't get the papers in the mail yet?
Welcome
If it is Ca then no, you have to wait for paperwork and pay fees before you will see your name on the website
