Hello,
I have been accepted to the BSN program at Hawai'I Pacific University - and am wondering if there is a way for me to proceed to do my MSN (Family Nurse Practitioner, which the school offers no problem). But upon receiving my MSN, FNP-BC. How could I achieve getting my PMHNP considering there are no programs in the state. I have researched and see online programs, however they are for BSN holders + they require clinical hours, how do I achieve supervised clinical hours at an online univeristy?

There are pmhnp post-masters certificate programs. There are also distance BSN-MSN programs. My understanding is that depending on the program, it is either the school or the student upon whom the onerous rests to arrange a-propriety clinical experiences locally.

Hi I have been researching this and the online PMHNPs require you to do the heavy lifting of finding a preceptor but they do state that they will help with how to go about approaching Psychiatrists and NPs to provide clinical experience/hours. Best of Luck!

Frontier Nursing University is worth looking at.
