PMHNP Exam help

Hi to everyone!  I’ve completed my Post-Masters PMHNP and am studying for the exam but it’s not going well. I’ve read previous threads and have followed that advice. Most say that the ANCC Purple book and Test IQ is the best resource and that BoardVitals is too complex. The problem is that I’m doing well on BV (85% ish) and failing Test IQ miserably (60%). Any advice?  I’m getting a little ?

I think the BV has a study for those who are in medical school, but I believe they have PMHNP as well. Not sure if it is geared toward NP or not.

Hi Laurie, I definitely understand how you feel, for me it was hard to find a good review for the ANCC PMHNP board exam until I was referred by some of my classmates to this website: www.pmhnpexamprepreview.com.

That been said here’s what I used. Purple book, ANCC IQ question bank which resembled the pmhnp exam, pocket prep was a little off but great for content. Don’t waste your money on lantern review, I thought it was outdated to me, Fitzgerald was no good. I bought exam edge but the questions were just vague and I didn’t like it. Please save your money on all of these resources and just use ANCC IQ and PMHNP reviews by Yvonne from the website I listed above. She’s absolutely the best and amazing. Her review was spot on and the truth. Her policy and Ethical review saved my life on the exam because that was my weakest area. She has all 5 domains plus a comprehensive PMHNP review. I did all her domains and the comprehensive review and I was fine. If you are struggling to pass definitely take her review. She also has a study plan she gives to all her students. Absolutely worth the money compared to lantern review, and Fitzgerald. I wasted my money on those and still failed first time but then I found Yvonne’s PMHNP review and I thank God I did. The above IQ test (why don't they just name it testbank?) says: "Take a sample certification exam, drawn randomly from over 200 test questions, as many times as you like, or take any or all of the domain-specific quizzes with correct answer rationales to test your knowledge in specific test content areas."

You just need the important information in an easy to understand format. I would recommend high yield psychiatric nurses review on Amazon, it is very affordable as well.
