I got my ATT letter 2days after I paid my $200 thru (email) or they will mail it to you. you need the ATT number to schedule your test though, so I would just wait.

hey guyz.....
i`m an international student planning for master ....for now i`m preparin to NCLEX-RN:nurse: test >> I alredy apply online to schdule my test and I pay 200$ for it >>but the issue here they tellin me to wait fot ((ATT)) which i don`t mind but Idon`t know what is it ??:confused:should i apply for it somewhere??or i should just wait ??If i should apply for it soewhere,can u explain to me where??and How??and Howlong does it take??

Are you taking your exam here is USA or from some other country? If you are taking in USA please note that scheduling NCLEX exam is two step process. Did you submit your application to the board of nursing of the state that you are going to give your NCLEX from? ATT is the authorization to test, which you can get by completing 5-6 pages of application including a background check. Just by paying $200 in pearsonvue is not going to give you ATT. If you haven't done that yet, please apply asap. Additional fee may be required. I hope this helps.

actually yaa i`m gonna take it here in USA and i have no idea about asap application thing :eek: :eek: :eek: ...i appreciate if u can give me more details about how to do it and where ??

Every state has a board of nursing. Find the website of the board of nursing of your state (you can google it as board of nursing followed by your state's name). In the website, you should locate candidate bulletin that gives information about how to apply for NCLEX. They will have application for nursing license for RN. Download that application and fill it out following the instructions in the application. You will probably need to submit an official transcript of your bachelors degree along with the application to your state board of nursing. Then they will ask you to complete a back ground check too. For my state, they mailed me a finger print background check that I filled (for which you will need to go to local police department to have them take your finger prints). Then you will have to mail that form again to the address mentioned in the form. After completing this process only you will get your ATT and be able to schedule the test in pearsonvue.

This is a normal process for a US graduate taking NCLEX RN. I suggest you call the board of nursing in your state to clarify the process. I suggest that you do this as soon as possible because the process takes some time.

So my question is, did you graduate outside from USA?

well, yaa my bachelor degree from outside USA ...currently i live in NJ ..so i`m gonna apply my license here...

my God ..i feel like it`s gonna take for ever and i don`t have much time ..anyway i will do call them first thing in the morning...

I checked NJ board of nursing. Please check this link, http://www.njconsumeraffairs.gov/nursing/nur_applications.htm. There is a download link for graduates of foreign nursing program. Upon downloading the packet, everything should be clear to you.

I am happy to help. Took me a while to figure this two step application process too so I totally understand. Let me know what happens.

You should always check the website of the agency you are dealing with for information, in this case, the Board of the state where you are applying for a license.
