I've applied for Fall 2016 in PLU (it's December 2015 now). I got all my paperwork in mid November. Now, it's waiting until June to find out. I'm really crossing my fingers! I completed all my prereqs at TCC with a 3.9GPA (including cadaver lab) this past spring. I'm hoping to follow your and my journey through this process. I hear they choose 80 of about 600 applicants...

Hello,

That is the samething that happened to me.

I am also settled in for the long wait. I am hoping they will be sending out acceptance letters soon. I know my grades are where they should be, but it's just a matter of having so many applicants. Fingers crossed!

Hello all. I am in the same boat as most of you it would seem...waiting to here the selection list.

Some one I know already got accepted into the nursing program. She has her A&Ps left. I think she submitted her application early. I turned my in like Jan 24.

Say Amran is the person you're talking about a high school student who received conditional admittance? I know some high schoolers are accepted that way but do most of their classes at PLU and as long as their grades don't drop they're in.

no Bigvet1998 she is not in high school. She is an student who went back to school and she has a family.

Awesome. Thanks.

Wow Amran95! That's so awesome for your friend! I'd love to hear more! How did she find out ~ like ~ was it an email or letter? I applied back in November and am working on my last Chem now at TCC. I have not heard anything still as of today. I'd think having to complete her A&P's would be a big factor before acceptance, but perhaps she had a strong application otherwise? Where is she going to school now? Do you know her GPA? What made her stand out from the rest? Sooooo many questions ~ LOL!!!! Maybe she can get on this thread to help ease the minds of the rest of us ;)

Hi Kris_P_20 ~ I am wondering if you're in Adrian's class for Chem131? It'd be so funny if we are in the same class & just didn't know it!

Even though A&p's is big factor, she is still got accepted because she has alot of experience; I think CNA. I don't know her GPA but i Think it is around mine, which is over 3.6. She got letter in the mail back in march. She goes to highline now with me.

Hi Amran95 ~ thanks for the update!

Just FYI to those wondering too...my experience stems from 4 years as an EMT on an ambulance & I am currently working medical in Pierce County Jail. I'll also restate that I applied in November 2015 as soon as they opened up the application for SoN ~ so I'm not confident experience nor timeline of application makes an impact ~ just my 2 cents.

I believe their overall criteria is broad and encompasses all of the factors requested. Perhaps her overall application was just very strong. I have strong references and a 4.0 in all of my pre-reqs and I have heard nothing so far. Grades aren't everything and with so many qualified applicants I may not be chosen. Whether the result is good or bad, I would like to know so I can stop harassing my poor mail person.
