PLU ELMSN 2021 Cohort

Hi everyone,

Getting this thread started for the ELMSN 2021 cohort starting in June 2021. Got this email back in October of when we should start hearing back. I submitted my app in early October. What about everyone else?

Honestly I’m disappointed with the inconsistent information they are providing. On their website under the FAQs page it states that applicants that have applied by the priority deadline will be notified early January.

I agree. I don't think we should have waited this long. But again I don't know the circumstances on their end that prevented them from notifying us earlier. I just hope it doesn't get pushed back even more...

Update on notifications: 

Received an email stating that they received a unusually large amount of applicants this year so they will start notifying applicants soon.

Did you send another email? Or did you just receive it, likely as a courtesy notification?

Update -- 

Now I'm just getting confused with the information I'm receiving from them. One person's email said they will not be able to give us an estimate of when they would be receiving the acceptance. Another said we would not find out until March. 

I submitted my application before priority deadline, so this confuses me.

I got another email, saying the reason why we could possibly receive it in March is because they need more time (assuming because they received more applicants this year unexpectedly). Maybe they are just giving an exaggerated estimate. Not sure.

March?? Wow that’s crazy, I wonder how many applications they got if it’s potentially moved out until then!

I got a response Jan. 12 about my admission. I found it in my junk folder though? Not sure if you've checked your email spam folder. I had to pay my deposit by yesterday. Still waiting to hear back from other schools as this is more expensive than some of the other programs I applied to.

So they are giving 3 weeks for decision? Did you miss your chance to accept because it was in your junk?! ?

Luckily I saw it in time! But it definitely felt like a fast time frame to put my deposit down!

@mhack yeah that’s a quick turn around for such a big decision! Did it come from Pacific Lutheran University email?

Yes it came from the gradadmissions email but it was sent via a salesforce program which is why I think it got flagged!
