i am also using lippincott, i have finished the 8th edition and still planning to read the 9th edition for alternate question types and new version of the type of question. i have acquired a lot of facts in lippincott that i haven't read in any other book. the rationales are detailed than kaplan and gives a broader exlanation of the topic or questions asked. i also find some questions harder in lippincott.
i suggest that you keep and use the book. the book has a lot of questions that you can practice on. you can also use other materials in which you are comfortable but try to limit the resources to atleast 2 books only, as they suggest, to avoid confusion and comparison.
i have read saunder's, lippincott, nclex made incredibly easy, kaplan and mosby. i have also answered all the questions in the book but now that i will take the exam in a month, i try to focused more on saunder's and kaplan question trainer. my scores increased because of practicing a lot of questions. nclex passers says to do a lot of practice questions so that book will really help you.
hello
i used lippincott 2005 and the kaplan strategies book 2008-09..
although the former has some typos in it, it's a pretty good book to review.. some in it i have not even heard in nursing school.
kaplan helped me a lot too.
btw i just passed this june, so i hope it'll help you too.
God bless on your exam. :)
