I need to produce a written statement regarding driving while suspended before I can become registered. do I need to seek legal advice, what is a written statement, how to write one.
A written statement is just that: you stating your position, in writing.
So, that you were aware of the DWS, that you did not acknowledge it on the application, how you know it was wrong and that it won't happen again. The licensing board can tell you if it needs to be in any particular format. And as far as an attorney- if you do decide to get one, make sure it is one well-versed in nursing licensure issues and boards of nursing.

If I were in your situation, I would find a lawyer to assist me with the statement. This is your livelihood and your future, after all. And like the other responder said, find one familiar with dealing with the board.
