Hi,
I graduated BSN back in 2006 from other country then we moved here in the US( Virginia)... I wasnt able to get my license coz i had a very tough pregancy and a very sensitive baby so i decided to wait til my son gets older and then now i wanna get my license but to be an LPN first. I found out on Virginia Board of Nursing that theyre asking for CGFNS for LPN licensure. Do i still need to take CGFNS before i can take the NCLEX-PN? pls help me...
Thank you very much

why not take the nclex-rn instead? you have a bsn so skip the lpn and take the nclex-rn. i know a lot of filipinos who did this because they are afraid that they're going to fail the nclex-rn so they use the pn for backup.
just focus your time and money on the nclex-rn. as far as i know, if you have a green card, you do not need the cgfns. it's for the people who need to be sponsored by the employer. but each state bon has their own rules so better call them up and ask.
good luck on the nclex!

You have to meet the state requirements and this may even be the case when endorsing, I would suggest you contact the state and discuss with them their requirements even for endorsing.

You might want to also consider some refresher courses since you don't have any paid experience and there's a time lapse since you received your degree. Good Luck
