hello to all the nurses in the Philippines. i have a friend tells me that there are a school that if you are a Us citizen will make your school years faster. Is there a school that is US accredited? How true is this.. someone pls give me info thanks

Specializes in SICU, Burn Unit, PACU, CCU.

I haven't heard of such schools here in the Philippines. If you'll finish your studies here in the Philippines then your credentials would be still be assessed like other normal applications in different US states.

I don't think there are such special treatments here in the Philippines.

Specializes in NICU, Medical Surgical, Clinical.

what your friend might be referring to is the fact that, if you already finished a first course ( healthcare course related or not ), your credentials will be evaluated by any school you are interested to attend to, and there are chances that some of your minor subjects will be credited, thus letting you finish the BSN faster than it should be.The more minor subjects credited, the faster it will take you to finish the BSN course... Just speaking from a personal experience, i graduated BS Psychology, AB Guidance & Couseling in one of the private schools in Manila. Then i enrolled in Nursing in one of the reputable schools also in Manila and was able to finish my BSN after 3 years of schooling.

If you are a US citizen and have a BS in another field you can get your BSN in 14 months or MSN in 24 months here in the USA. Or you could get your ASN in less than 2 years. You will have no issues getting access to taking the boards. Once you are a US citizen you can get loans to assist you in paying for school.
