How would the RN treat pleural effusion?

basically its fluid in the lung('s). Treatment is prevention of further fluid, oxygen to expand lung and for comfort, atb tx, possible steroid. Sometimes a thoracentesis is done to remove and test fluid (for possible cancer).
its fluid in the pleural space. fluid in the lungs in pulmonary edema.
side effect from CHF.
