How would the RN treat pleural effusion?

Featured Replies

basically its fluid in the lung('s). Treatment is prevention of further fluid, oxygen to expand lung and for comfort, atb tx, possible steroid. Sometimes a thoracentesis is done to remove and test fluid (for possible cancer).
