I'm assuming by your other thread that you're talking about your licensing exam?

Take a deeeeeeeeep breath.

By now if you're reading this it's over.

Congratulations for completing the test!

Take more deeeeeeeeeep breaths while you await your results.

They said they weren't taking the test for a week. I don't understand.............

Hi! This is not NCLEX test advice, but general test taking advice. (Gleaned from Dr. Phil's website, from a show on how to help your kids excell in school).

1. Eat fish. Specifically fatty fish like salmon, tuna, mackeral. Fish really is brain food.

2. Breathe deeply, not just while taking an exam, but while studying too. Oxygen helps your brain function better and you can learn better as well as test better.

3. Breathe deeply before and during your test to help you relax. If you are very very stressed out, it could most likely negatively impact your test score.

4. Get a good night's sleep the night before the test. Your brain will work better.

5. 45 minutes before the test, drink 1-2 cups of regular tea. There is something in the tea that helps boost scores. It's not the caffeine, because you would get the same result as drinking coffee. Drink the tea 45 min. before you start the test.

I hope these help.... when you are taking breaks from your study, do creative visualizations, where you see yourself as a nurse, dressed in your uniform for work, at work doing your job, and make this as real as possible. See yourself as a nurse, and it will help you. Actions always begin as thoughts, so make the thoughtforms as real as possible.
