I am taking the NLN exam in three weeks and I need to know if there is any anatomy or physiology on the exam. I bought a study guide and there is a section with those subjects. However no one has ever mentioned anything about anatomy or physiology being on the exam. I took all my pre recs so I would do well but no anatomy. Please HELP!!

my counselor told me the only classes i needed to take for the nln exam were chm,bio,mth,and eng. i have also taken psy,cmm, and sociology. man am i upset, the test is tomorrow. i'll try to go over what i can. what makes this even worse is i have been asking around and no one could ever give me a straight answer. thanks for the help. jeanne clc

Good luck!

Yes, there is A&P, but basic stuff. The thing that got me was the NLN is not just about healthcare - far from it. I had several questions on the basics of electricity - OHM's and stuff. The only thing I know about electricity is that my bill is way too high each month. :chuckle

My advice is to go at it slowly and steadily. Don't spend too much time on any one question. Go forward and come back if you have time. The time does go quickly!

imo, i feel no matter how well you prepare yourself or feel ready you are still going to come out from that room with a lost and empty look to your face.:uhoh3:

[color=#ffa500]all and yes i mean 100% of the people that i sat with had trouble with one part or another. the best advice i could give to you, is just to relax before taking the test and critically think through the questions as best as you can without spending too much time on one question. no matter how prepared we were, we all were still clueless.

[color=#ffa500]the questions were a mix of common sense, clueless questions (only a rocket scientist could answer :rotfl: ) and omg i knew that!!

[color=#ffa500]

[color=#ffa500]i was surpirsed most when i received back my nln scores, the area i thought i did worst in was my strongest!!!

[color=#ffa500]good luck to you!!!! you'll do fine!!!!

This exam isn't about nursing. It's similar to the SAT. It tests a wide range of general knowledge and critical thinking skills. There are some questions that they throw in there that don't count toward your final score. My guess, and this is just a guess, is that these are the nursing questions, which are very very few.

In preparation for the test, I studied general science websites just to gather random trivial facts. I skipped across botany, general bio and physics. Was I surprised and glad I did when I found questions about those very items on the test. My advice is lose the book, take a walk and relax. Don't forget test taking strategies. This is as much about critical thinking as it is about general knowledge.

Good luck. The hardest part is waiting for the results.
