I want to get a graduation gift for a fellow nursing student and I notice she has some lovely hajib pins (I think that is what they are called). I thought I would get a nice one for her. She has really been an amazing help to me all through school -- I wouldn't have made it without her help in lab and such. What I don't want to do is make some big cultural goof and have it be uncomfortable for her. So:
Is this an appropriate gift for a muslim woman?
I see there are lots of types/colours etc. -- do the stone colours have significance?
Is there someplace on lune that has a nice selection of decent quality ones.

I'd be grateful for some guidance.
Thanks in advance
