Hi Guys!

I recently got accepted to both Wayne State and University of Detroits Mercy's Nursing programs! I am stuck between the two?! Wayne state is ranked 3rd in michigan and I've heard many great things about it. University of Detroit Mercy is I think 7th in michigan, and a little bit more expensive. I visited both schools and feel very welcomed at both. But I am stuck picking one. Please help me! If you anything about either school that would help a ton!

Thank you!!

Congrats on your acceptance, I was wondering what your GPA was for each school. I'm going to be applying next year. 

Hi!

Thank you(: My GPA for both schools were a 3.84 and a 3.87 in sciences. Best of luck to you!

Hi,

Does U of D only focus on science classes or all of the requirements? Thanks for the fast reply!

Hi,

Honestly, Im not sure but I think its a mixture of the two. If you're applying to Uof D, I highly suggest taking the HESI Entrance exam asap and taking it at U of D. They require specific subjects and not all the places offer the same subjects. If you take it else where and you're missing one of the subject U of D requires, they void your entire exam. And make you retake it, with all the subjects you need. Its really easy, and has a lot of basic information.

As far as GPA, first they look to see if you passed the HESI Exam (they don't care about how well you do, just as long as you pass it), then they look at your cumulative GPA. Based on the GPAs, they pick their nursing students. Im sure somewhere in this process they look at your sciences but I'm not sure.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Hope this helps!
