Please help if you who took nursing prerequiste courses through ILC

Published

Hi,

I know someone that really wants to become a nurse, but does not have the prerequisite courses. Would she have to take the grade 11 bio and chem before she can take the grade 12 bio and chem. Also, do they send the marks our for her or does she have to mail the transcripts herself. If she has two U courses (part of the 6 needed courses) from high school, would she have to send her high school marks or is it possible for the guidance counselors at the learning centre to just add those marks so they wont see some of her other marks that were sort of brutal because she did not really care about her marks when she was younger.

Thanks

If she want to becomes an RN, she has to do a BScN. This is how I'm gonna assume it works... your friend will have to take Grade 11 University Prep Bio and Chem and Math, then she will need to take Uni Prep Gr 12 Bio and Chem and Math (if she doesn't have the math).

Once she finishes and wants to send her transcripts I'm assuming she will need to contact ILC and request her transcripts. If they do not send them out, she will have to have them sent to her. MAKE SURE THEY ARE SEALED WITH A STAMP OR SIGNATURE OVER THE OPENING, then she will have to send them to the places she is applying.

And yes she will need her other high school transcript.

Sealed transcripts have to sent directly to the school you are applying to.

All transcripts need to be sent, whether you were a star student or a warm body.

Depending on how old your friend is, the possibility of being considered a "mature student" exists. Most universities and colleges have an admission plan for mature students, so she will need to contact the facility she is interested in attending.
