Hi. Just reading some of the postings and thought I'd say that I'm going to Bon Secours currently. I will finish up my last two semesters (Yea!) and be done! I have loved being there and have found all the teachers to be helpful and knowledgeable. My NUR 100 teacher still says hello and calls me by name in the hall. I would recommend the program for those who want more clinical time. I must admit that I'm envious of a friend of mine who went to PVCC at the same time I did and has finished already. However, she was on their wait list for a while before getting in. Being 31 already, I didn't want to be on a waiting list. The entrance test and essay was easy enough. Good luck with your decision. Feel free to ask me questions or look me up if you decide to go there! Cindi
Well that's great. I'm feeling much better about the TEAS test. :) Well, I know you must be really excited about starting up. Will you be in the part time, accelerated, or full time program? I'm hoping that I'll be able to do the accelerated program. I've only got 4 more classes to go and then all I'll have left is nursing classes. Assuming I get accepted.Have you thought about where you want to work when you graduate? I noticed on the website that the Bon Secours hospital has won numerous awards for generally being a wonderful place to work. That's really encouraging.
Best of luck to you!
I will be doing the full-time day program. I still have 7 more pre-reqs to take. I won't be finish until 5/2007 maybe earlier being that I have 1/2 of my pre-req's taken.
I think I want to work for bon secours their new hospital St.Frances. But, I think I really want to be at MCV/Level 1 trauma center in one of their ICU's or in the OR. I will see when I get to that point.
