Excelsior would not except me because I am short 2.5 credits of clinical hours. So I am wondering is there any other online nursing programs that will let you in without any clinical background.

I don't know what state you are in, but look at wgu, Online University | Online Degree | Accredited Bachelor's and Master's Degrees . They are operating an online program in CA and just started up in TX. If you look at their site, they give a list of the other states where they plan to start their program in the near future.
Thank you caliotter3 for responding. I am in NY and I am looking for a degree in accoc in rn program. I didnt have the 50% for entrance for excelsior, short 2.5 clinical hrs. I looked at the site you suggested but it looks like its for rn to bn. Anyother suggestions?

I don't know your medical background but what about contacting the NY BON & seeing if you can challenge & take the Nclex for LPN & once you get that then apply to Excelsior or an online program
WGU has an RN to BSN program but it also has a prelicensure program. I was referring to the prelicensure program that is operating in CA and TX and set to start in several other states. Click on the link that says "prelicensure" to read up on it.

I received my BSN through Jacksonville university online and highly recommend it. I also was missing some classes like statistics, chem, and nutrition and they still allowed me to start the program. Hope this helps.
The state of NY no longer allows this. An LPN program must be completed in order to sit for the NCLEX PN.
I just checked the WGU website and it appears they have removed the names of the specific states where there are future plans for their program. You have to check the WGU website on a regular basis. I have found that they change the information on it very fast.

have you thought about applying to an lpn program?
then maybe somewhere down the road in the future you can apply to excelsior to do the rn.
good luck and all the best.
Thank you everyone for your help. One more question, are there any lpn online studies or do you have to attend an actual school?
