well first you need to convert gr V to mg..we know that 60mg=gr I so 60 X 5=300mg
Now for the set up..
we know that there is 325mg per tab and we want 300mg for the order..the set up is as follows
325mg= 00mg
1 tab X
325x=300mg
isolate X by dividing
325X=300
325 325
now divide 300 by 325 which comes to 0.923 since the problem doesn't specify that the tabs are scored..you cannot give 0.92 of the tab..you would give one tab. BUT since the order is 300..if you give the full 325mg you are giving 25mg more than what the doc wants. And a call into the pharmacy and/or the doc would be in order..according to our dosing calc instructor.

Hi Laura,
Remember 1 gr = 60 or 65 mg
gr V (five) = 65 x 5 = 325 mg
Therefore, you give one tab.

Now that you mention it, I remember 1 grain=60mg or 65mg in certain cases..this would be the case. (just grabbed my dosing calc book and it mentions ASA as one of the "certain times")
