Published

Hi i am new and have taken the hesi pre entance exam and was wondering what comes next? I haven't got a acceptance letter yet but like to stay two steps a head! So what would the acceptance letter say? and i have heard about a nursing packet? What about the shots and stuff required to go to nursung school? will they tell you to come in to go over all this? I am hoping to attend in fall. Will they be a regastration day? I know this is alot to ask but if anyone could help i would greatly apopreciate it.

Many schools will send you a packet of forms in the mail for you to fill out along with your acceptance letter. Usually there will be an orientation to go over the paper work, assign clinical groups, and other pertinent information.

If the acceptance letter contains good news, the first word is usually "Congratulations!" :D

You just have to wait for the nursing packages to come via mail. This package will have all the information need for you. Just take one day at a time. Majority of the immunization, physicals, and dental exams have to be done by first day of clinicals.

I agree with the first post. I can add about the immunization, physical, and dental exam have to be done prior to the first clinical date. All schools are different. Just wait patiently. If you dont get your letter soon please notify the school.:)

Thank you. I was wondering if they wanted immunization records and stuff with in a few weeks of acceptance letter because i wont have all of mine tell july. But yall have helped me with some of my questions thank yall!:D

They usually give you a few months to get your paperwork in order because there is SO MUCH to do -- criminal background checks, immunizations records, CPR registration, caregiver background screening, etc.

Specializes in student; help!.

I got a letter and a form to return to indicate that I was still planning to enter the program. We have orientation next month, when I assume we'll learn about vaccs, books, etc. I know we have to bring money for background checks (two states and national), and nursing patches for our scrubs.

That is great news. Good luck. Please keep us posted.
