I am considering working for CARENOW and desperately want to hear from nurses that have worked for them. what do you like and what do you not like about working at CARENOW? What is the pay rate for an RN? They are currently offering up to $3000 sign on bonus !!!!!! for full time nursing positions :monkeydance:

I would not recommend that a new nurse work for them. This is essentially working in the E.D. Anything and everything walks through the doors and without a solid background and being able to recognize subtle problems immediately and act to prevent complications - someone could die. I know a few LVNs that work for them. Carenow does not hire many RNs because they are too expensive. Thus the RN will be responsible for a lot of things as well as be the fall guy for anything that goes wrong. A new nurse would be putting their license in jeopardy.
THINK - Why do places offer sign on bonuses? Sign on bonuses usually indicate a problem with the employer - high turnover, inadequate staffing, no support from colleagues and/or management......the list goes on.

The pay rates at CareNow are horrible, at least for LVNs like me. They start LVNs at $14 hourly, while the going rate at other facilities is between $18 and $22 hourly. In addition, CareNow requires nurses to work evenings, weekends, and rotate from facility to facility. You might be working in the Grapevine clinic one week, then rotated to the South Fort Worth clinic the next day.
