Please advise

My application for VN was denied due to my past conviction. I requested to appeal the decision. I am still waiting for the date when I will be facing the board. My case was referred to the BON's lawyer. What should I expect when facing the board or the lawyer? Should I get a lawyer too? Please advise. I'm scared. By the way, I'm in California. My conviction was 4 yrs ago.

Hello,

As allnurses.com is not available to give legal advice, the best thing you can do is to get a lawyer for yourself. That would be the best way to go. If they have a lawyer, you need one, definitely.

I wish you the very best and I hope that you have a good outcome so that you may pursue your dream.
