Planning Ahead

I am starting my second semester of ASN in August and I know it's early but you obviously can never be too careful planning out the educational pathway when considering graduate school. (Plus I'm 30, I don't want to be in school until I'm 45...)

My main question is, is it possible to do the year+ experience as an ASN RN while finishing my BSN and apply not long after graduation to a CRNA school? Would they rather have you work that critical care time as a BSN? Like I said, I'm not 20 or so like a lot of the other students so I am just trying to figure out the shortest yet most productive pathway.

Thanks in advance for any advice :)

It doesn't matter if you get the critical care experience as an ASN or BSN.

You don't think it would matter to apply so quickly?

I don't believe SRNAs should come in with just 1 year of nursing experience. IMO it is best to have 2-3yrs at least of solid nursing background taking care critical patients before going to CRNA school.
