Pitt Interviews- who is interviewing in March and

Published

Hi all. I was curious to see who has been invited to interview for Pitt and when are you going? Who is still waiting to hear (like me!) Any shared stats would be greatly appreciated!

Specializes in ICU.

I am set to interview on March 10. Can't wait! I have a 4.0 gpa on my BSN, 1300 GRE, recently got CCRN. I have over 12 yrs of various ICU experience, most of which is in larger, university hospitals. I just hope the snow doesn't mess up my travel plans. I have apps pending at a few other places, but Pitt is my first choice.

I'm still waiting to hear one way or another. They were waiting for my official gre scores. I figured that they requested I tell them the unofficial scores (1210) and as they were relatively decent, combined with my other parts of my app, I figured I would have gotten an interview because why would they wait for official scores if I wasn't going to be offered an interview. Anyway, I have an interview this week and I'm still waiting to hear from Pitt as well. Good luck on your interview!

Specializes in ICU nursing.

Have you heard anything yet? Hopefully I will get to meet you in the interview session!

Yes...after applying and getting everything together...they then said I need a BSN. I wish I would have had that info earlier when I informed them BEFORE I applied that I did not. Best of luck!

I thought all CRNA schools required at least BSN. Is it not correct?

That is not correct. Many accept asn along with either a science bs or even a non-science bs or ba.

In general, if the program is within a school of nursing, you need a BSN. But if the program is within another school then a BS plus an RN license will suffice. A BA can even work as long as you've had some solid science courses.
