Has anyone applied at Pitt CC for this year? I am waiting for a response and wanted to see if anyone has received one yet.

Your welcome! The dose calc test is usually given around October in the first semester. In 2nd semester and so on it's given within the first couple of days. As far as clinicals I'm not sure since you guys are coming in as freshman if you will go into a hospital setting the 1st semester, because when I was a freshman we had clinicals at the school, but starting second semester we were allowed at the hospital. If you have ever worked as an NA then clinicals aren't that much different from what NA's do, but as a nurse or student nurse you are able to do more like administering medication to the patient and other things within your scope of practice as a student nurse. Some procedures you won't be able to do unless you are around your instructor, but they will tell you more about it. If you go into a hospital setting just know what you can do and can't do as a student nurse without your instructor and you should be just fine. Learn to study ahead of time if you can if you know clinicals are coming up that same  week. Clinicals are every week.

OK, great. This is so helpful! Thanks so much!
